Well, today’s Mother’s Day here in the USA. As most of you know, I’m still in the hospital. On my lunch tray today, they brought me a carnation for Mother’s Day. I thought that was kind of sweet. I know, they have no way of knowing whether I’m a mom or not, but it’s the thought that counts. Because face it… Who wants to spend any type of holiday in the hospital and if memory serves, I spent Easter in the hospital as well. That’s got to be some sort of conspiracy or something. LOL

I had a surprise visit by my mom last night. We had a nice visit. She spent several hours cheering me up last night, taking my mind off my troubles, and I was thankful for it. She even managed to harange the hospital staff about the nasty shower in my bathroom. It was a treat to see.

Anyway… Finishing up last minute stuff for Sex Me At Last which releases in 4 days…

Well, I’m doing a little better today. Yesterday was a day from hell for me. I spent the whole day sick as a dog. Needless to say, I didn’t even get on the computer. I didn’t check emails. I didn’t write. I didn’t do a damn thing but wimper. Today is a much better day. Time is running out to get this story done in time but we will get in done. We always do. So don’t worry. It’s a monthly serial and we’re on the last month.

Anyway, I went to my control panel today for the first time in over a year to set up an email account, something I’d normally have Justin or Amy do, but I was bored and thought I’d give a try and noticed a link for Visitor Statistics… So, I clicked it and got the shock of my life when I realized just how many hits my website received since it went live…

Hiya folks…

Well, I’ve been in hospital several days again. As a matter of fact, I haven’t even kept track this time. I’ll be here through the weekend and I’m having some procedure done on Monday. Today, I had a central line put in… a PIC line in my right arm. Now, I won’t get stuck a bazillion times when my IV’s blow. So, that’s one huge blessing. I’m pretty sure the phlebotomist will still stick me every morning instead of using the PIC line even though that’s what it’s there for, but we’ll see.

As for Monday, the doctors will be inserting a J/G tube which is going to allow me to depressurize my stomach on my own — outside the hospital — or that’s what they say, anyway. It will also allow me to have tube feeding. Right now I’ve only been getting saline through the IV and nothing else. Haven’t had anything but saline for weeks now. No nutrition of any kind beside broth a couple days within the six weeks, which is so not good for a diabetic. Thanks goodness my sugars seem to be under control but a body can’t live by saline alone.

Anyway, the writing is going slow. I’m hoping now that I’ve finally gotten a solid six hours sleep last night that I’ll be able to get some writing done today. The words were forced yesterday and I ended up deleting everything I’d written. But some days are like that and all we can do is hope that the words that you manage to come up with the next day are better than the ones from the day before. Some days they are. Some they aren’t.

Anyway… As far as writing, I’m hoping to finish off Sex Me At Last in the next couple of days. I’m the one holding us up on that. I think if Tianna was writing this one by herself she’d have finished it up a while ago, but with my hospitalizations we’re way behind and I’m holding things up. It will come out on time, we won’t miss deadline, but it will be close….

When I’m not working on Sex Me At Last, I’m working on Mikel’s Wrath. I’m almost ¼ of the way through with this one. I’m aiming for a mid June release on this one, so I have to get this one finished in the next couple of weeks. I better get my ass in gear, and get this written. Spending so much time in the hospital is really screwing up my writing schedule. Moreover, I still haven’t scheduled my hysterectomy. I can’t schedule that until they fix my stomach and I get out of here. So, I’ll probably schedule that for sometime after the reader/author get together in June on West Chester, OH.

Well, working on writing despite being in the hospital. I’ll be working on Sex Me At Last tonight once I get home from the hospital, but this is where I stand right now on my manuscripts. I’m hoping to hit at least 6K on Sex Me At Last before going to bed tonight, maybe more. We’ll see. We only have a couple more days to finish this. Hospital stay sucks when it comes to deadlines.
